On January 13 and 14, EASE had the privilege of hosting the sixth Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the SOPROS project. Held at our premises in Paris, the meeting brought together a dedicated consortium of partners to discuss and plan the next steps in the project’s mission to improve social protection for European athletes.

Over the course of two productive days, the team focused on the dissemination of the Self-assessment Tool, a key innovation of the SOPROS project. Designed to evaluate and enhance the understanding of social security coverage for athletes across Europe, this tool is a cornerstone in the broader effort to address disparities and challenges in social protection at the national level. By gathering feedback and insights directly from athletes, the project aims to refine its approach and maximize its impact.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to evaluate progress, exchange ideas, and strategize on how to reach more athletes and stakeholders across Europe. Discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration in identifying gaps in social security systems and fostering solutions tailored to the unique needs of athletes in different countries.

EASE extends its gratitude to all partners for their active participation, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the project’s goals. The energy and dedication displayed during this sixth TPM are a testament to the shared vision of a fairer and more inclusive framework for athletes’ social protection in Europe.
