September 2022 – August 2023: Identification of the employment barriers

During this phase, EASE will coordinate and support the partners in the analysis of the inclusion and diversity framework in the European sport sector workforce. This analysis will include European online roundtables organized by our experts’ partners and studies lead by our academic’ partners. A study will be produced on each topic, to identify the barriers to employment in the sport sector in terms of gender, age and disability.


September 2023 – August 2024: Identification of the best practices

The identification of the best practices for a more inclusive and diverse workforce in the sport sector will be realized thanks to the organization of 9 national roundtables about the 3 main axes of the project. All these best practices will be compiled in order to provide a complete guide of best practices for the inclusiveness and diversity of the sport workforce, including identified policies that lead to a more inclusive labour market.


September 2024 – December 2024: Production of the recommendations

IHRSA will lead and coordinates the production the recommendations for a more inclusive and diverse European workforce in the sport sector. During this phase, sport employers will produce recommendations aligned with the economic reality of the sport sector. These recommendations will then be gathered by EASE to produce a final document gathering them.


January 2025 – June 2025: Dissemination of the project outcomes

At the end of the project, a final dissemination event will take place, in order to present the results of the project (employment barriers, best practices and recommendations) to different stakeholders of the sport sector, such as sport employers’ and employees’ representatives, stakeholders interested in a more inclusive workforce for the sport sector from the European institutions and acting groups and organisations in the field of youth, gender and disability in sport.
